Hey! I am Ayesha Aslam a biotechnologist (Alhamdulillah). Durning Covid, I was preparing for my last semester of my Masters in Biotechnology. And I had planned to finda a job and Mphil right after. But finding a job is always displayed as toughest hours with a lot of myths in a developing country, like Pakistan. Students are not prepared for a real life because … because of their parents. Yeah I was raised to learn but doing a job or finding a job it was never told because my parents are earning hands, lol.

Then I realised that I need a JOB to be a helping hand but how??? 😂 Honestly I did not have a clue. Then, randomly my class fellow from university introduced me to “Amal Career Prep”

After a breif introduction of my beginning let get to the point and imagine how was my experience with amal. I joined Amal in July 18, 2020. Yeah, it was pandemic those days, after bundle of interviews my will to improve myself and learn how to enter a professional platform to interact lead me to the selection.

First week was most curious one, I was told about projects, assignments and small tasks. Then I had a session with my program manager “Zeest Qureshi", I was impressed, how she looked, cool and stunning. Then I was introduced with my assistant program manager “Iqra Zaheer", a kind and cutest among us. I’m not mentioning to butter, on a honest note, these two ladies with different personalities and fields made an impression that you do not need to be on same scale to add something somewhat somewhere. All I wanted to do is to show my gratitude which I have also learned from Amal. After my first session their “energies and smiles" which were contagious I was more than happy to be a part of Amal. We started with Amal’s Values: Honesty, Growth, Responsibility, Humility and Acceptance. Pardon me, if I did not follow their sequence. Not just this, for progress and learning we learned “Principles of Progress", Amal, Khudi, ak aur ak gayaarah, and Kaam, Kaam aur Kaam.

Don’t get bored I have just kind of started, diving into the Journey.

Knowing Yourself through many experiments was the first thing I learned, in this busy world of robotic exploration we have forgotten to exploration of our traits which are distinctive for who we are. Every person born have a trait called “Gift", that we are born with but there are very few people, who uses to grow it with skills which are learnt through practice. I had a test called as Myers Briggs Test for analysis of my inborn talent. I am a MEDIATOR (INFP-A) a person who mediates and is essential for a society, sounds cheesy na?? Because I am. There are so much to tell but let’s stick to first two weeks. Last but not least “connecting Dots”, was the ever new technique I learned, where I listed all events of my life then drew a Graph with the help of ups and downs to learn where my life is heading. In the end I would love to conclude it with a picture quote.

I have learnt a lot and I am grateful for it.
